How does Maca work? Maca is not a medicine. It is a food supplement that works as an adaptogen. An adaptogen works through the axis hypothalamus-hypofysis and instigates the body to improve, balance and stabilise the production of certain materials. In other words: Maca helps to restore the balance in the human body. An adaptogen improves the adaptability of the body taking into account the specific needs of a body according to the age or sex of the person taking Maca. You could say that Maca fills up the empty shelves of the body. Maca has no known side effects which differentiates it from other chemical products.

The Peruvian Maca is a perennial plant with a radish-shaped root. It should be pointed out that, as is the case with all plants and herbs, the action of Maca is not demonstrated in small quantities. Note that for the indigenous population Maca is a food, just as potatoes are to us in Western cultures. The recommended quantities of Maca are usually estimated at 4000 to 5000 mg per day. That means half a dozen of our Maca tablets, the only Maca that contains an amazing 800 mg per tablet! |
